BLOWN IN INSULATION
Whether you are upgrading existing insulation, fully replacing insulation, or installing insulation for the first time in your attic space, we offer affordable insulation solutions.
Blown in insulation, also referred to as blown insulation, is a fast and affordable way to increase the insulation of your attic space. If your home is 10 years old or older, there is a good chance your attic insulation does not meet current energy efficiency guidelines. Blown in insulation can be added to your attic to meet the new standards, reducing energy costs by as much as 50 percent – year round.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Before starting, our technicians will place tarps from the front door to the attic access point. A ladder is set up at the access point. Next the hose is routed from the truck through a window or door closest to the attic access point. Corner protectors are installed as needed to prevent the hose from coming in contact with walls or railings. Our team also wears protective gear including shoe covers to protect flooring materials.
For blown in insulation, we use a commercial grade, specialized insulation blower. It is a machine that is mounted inside our truck. A long flexible hose is attached to the machine. Inside the truck, insulation materials are poured into the blower. The machine generates powerful pressure that pushes insulation material through the hose. The hose is directed to blow in insulation to targeted areas. Our trained insulation technicians carefully apply even levels of insulation, and fill any gaps around joists and in corners.
Once desired insulation levels are achieved, the technician will create a dam around the attic access panel. Next the access entry is insulated with batt insulation to minimize energy loss at the hatch. An optional insulation tent is available.
Finally, a visual inspection of the insulation project is done and our crews clean up the tarps, and remove the ladder.
